Awesome little getaway in the woods! The cabins are really nicely done and the disc golf course is great! Really neat holes with a little hike up to a really cool tower right in the middle! Perfect disc golf getaway!

Stayed 2 nights at the Grand Oak Tree House and loved it! I booked through Airbnb and it went smoothly. Amanda was always quick to reply to any of my questions leading up to our stay, and we were warmly welcomed by Carrie when we arrived. The rental was very clean and had all the amenities. Plus how can you beat staying in a Tree house? They recommended local beaches and hikes, had a fun playground and large fire pit. While we didn't have time to give the disk golf a try, there were other guests that were having fun playing the course. The experience was amazing for all ages, even the 18 month old had a blast! Definitely recommend and would go back in a heart beat! Thanks for such a fun vacation!

Off the beaten path, but TOTALLY worth the drive!! The cabin was spacious and perfect for three people. The loft was great for my 6ft 2in son and the two futon beds were perfect for sleeping & relaxing. We didn’t play frisbee golf (too much rain), but the course looked fun and challenging. The area has a playground for kids, community campfire and a REALLY COOL TOWER!! The hike to the tower is a tough one and not for the faint of heart, but 100% worth it! My son flew his drone off the top of the tower and got some excellent pictures. If you like to stop and take pictures, this is a DO NOT MISS this little gem. Just remember your bug spray and water. Overall great cabins, fantastic hosts, and fabulous views!

My husband, dog and I stayed in the Spruce Suite - a treehouse with all the amenities of a hotel. Amanda, Carrie and their families have truly made this your “home away from home”. It was cozy, warm and the perfect amount of space. I also loved that it was off the grid enough to be able to disconnect without being completely out of touch. While I enjoyed a book and hot apple cider with our dog, my husband hiked a mile trail to the lookout tower where he snapped some amazing fall photos. We also enjoyed the warmth of a fire pit that was lit by the gorgeous full moon. We can’t wait to go back and next time will stay two nights.

We were up here bike riding backcountry gravel in ME and NH. This place was a great find and well located for our needs. We stayed in the Spruce Suite which has a mini kitchen and full bath. October is a pleasant, quieter time here and we enjoyed ourselves, left the windows open, and slept well. We were able to take advantage of some adventurous disc golf and also hiked up to the summit for some amazing fall foliage vistas. Bring what you need, stores are not super close; however there is a basic store in Lovell and an amazing beer pub called Ebenezer's that is a short drive away. This particular unit wouldn't work work those who are not agile, steps, tight quarters, and a ladder to the loft would prove challenging. For everyone else, it'd work just fine. Easy to book and Carrie was helpful. Privacy is just fine if that is a concern for you.

We felt welcome from the moment of check-in with Carrie and Matt thru check-out. They made sure we knew where to find the trails and the fire pit. Our stay in the Grand Oak was fabulous. It was a beautiful cabin with all of the amenities that we could have needed. The attention to details was appreciated. The wrap around porch was perfect to relax with our evening beverages after the hike to the top of the mountain and watch tower. It was the perfect setting for a girls weekend away. We can't wait to go back!!

I don’t know how I forgot to review this place when we stayed a couple years ago. We rented the biggest treehouse for three or four nights. I can’t quite remember now, but it was amazing! If you’re looking for peace and quiet, something a little bit different, and not wanting to rough it out, I would recommend the biggest treehouse. Especially, if you’re going to be staying for a handful of days. The owners are super friendly. Unfortunately, the people who stayed right before us must have broke the couch so we did not have that in the TV area. The owners did put camp chairs in there to try to accommodate after just finding out the couch was broke. I guess they ordered another one, but it was not going to be there until after we were gone. The mountain disc golf course was really awesome also! I have never quite played a course like it. Extreme elevation changes! My son and I also took advantage of hiking up the mountain to check out the observation tower on property. unfortunately also my wife and daughter got sick during this part of the vacation so they spent most of this time just laying in bed and the treehouse. They said they wish they would have felt better but glad they had such an awesome place too take it easy well getting better. We thought the entire experience was awesome. It has been two years and the kids still talk about the treehouse. This is very rural Maine so make sure you have what you need because you don’t have a lot of options for places to get stuff from. They have different size places you can rent on property and different price ranges with it. I would recommend treating yourself and going big. We do not regret spending what we did. This will definitely be in consideration if we ever make it back up to Maine.
